Kingspan TW50

TW50 insulation is designed for partial-fill cavity walls, leaving a residual cavity in front of the insulation as required by building regulations. Its foil facings help reduce radiant heat transfer across the cavity.

What is Kingspan TW50 insulation?

Kingspan Thermawall TW50 is an insulation board that fits into the cavity between the inner block leaf and outer brick leaf. It is rigid and designed to be held in place using wall ties or retaining clips. The core of TW50 is made from high‑performance polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam. Because it is fibre-free and dense, it does not sag, and it resists moisture effectively.

Both sides of the board are covered with a thin foil-facing (aluminium composite) that reflects radiant heat and enhances the board’s insulation.

TW50 Kingspan insulation effectively slows heat transfer, thanks to its low conductivity (0.022 W/m·K). It is designed to perform for the building’s lifetime under normal conditions.
