120mm PIR Eurothane GP
120mm PIR insulation is a reliable insulation solution for diverse room insulation and general insulation applications. It’s commonly used in residential buildings, commercial buildings, and some industrial areas.
What is 120mm PIR insulation?
120mm PIR insulation is sold in the form of panels. Each product is a 120mm-thick polyisocyanurate board attached to low-emissivity aluminium foil on both sides. These insulation boards stand out for their excellent thermal efficiency and high moisture resistance.
What are 120mm PIR used for?
Most can be used for general insulation applications, while a few are designed for specific uses. Confirm where each board can be used; manufacturers typically include this critical detail in the product description.
Overall, though, you may use 120mm polyisocyanurate insulation for:
- Internal and external wall insulation.
- Masonry wall insulation, as well as metal-framed and timber-framed wall insulation.
- Flooring insulation — Refer to the user guide for the recommended floor types that can be insulated with a 120mm PIR board.
- Roofing insulation for both flat and pitched roofs.
Types of 120mm PIR

Benefits of 120mm PIR insulation
- Water resistance — Although not waterproof, PIR insulation boards have a low rate of water absorption, providing the material with some protection against moisture damage.
- Outstanding thermal qualities — Thanks to their superior thermal resistance, 120mm PIR insulation sheets do not readily transfer heat. This minimises heat loss and enhances energy efficiency.
- Fire resistance — PIR insulation does not produce a large flame spread, with many panels having a Euroclass E rating.
- Low toxicity — PIR boards are produced using less energy and fewer toxic materials than some comparable boards.
Why choose our 120mm PIR?
- Wide variety — We feature a diverse range of 120mm PIR insulation products from various manufacturers.

FAQ
How to install 120mm PIR insulation?
Prepare the space for insulation by clearing away any debris and cleaning the area. Measure your 120mm PIR board to make sure it matches the area you want to insulate. Cut the board to size if necessary, and then position it in the designated space.
How to cut 120mm PIR insulation?
You can use an insulation saw, a handsaw, or a drywall saw to cut your 120mm PIR board. A sharp blade ensures you get a clean cut. Place the PIR board on a flat surface so it remains steady while you cut and mark the area along which to cut in order to get a straight cut.
How much 120mm PIR insulation do I need?
The amount of insulation you’ll use depends on the area you want to insulate. If insulating walls, the floor, and the roof, you need more 120mm PIR panels than if you’re insulating only one or two of these areas.
