The 60mm PIR insulation board sits in the middle in terms of PIR panel thickness. It’s not as thick as the 100mm board, nor is it as thin as the 25mm one, and it offers a good amount of versatility in terms of usage—where and how to use it.
60mm PIR sheets are a type of plastic foam made using polyisocyanurate. They sit between two foil facers, one on each side, and are processed until they attain a thickness of 60mm. The boards are then formed into different sizes and used to insulate different spaces. Polyisocyanurate is a rigid material that boasts remarkable insulation capabilities, thanks to its closed-cell structure, which effectively reduces heat flow.
Due to their thicker build, 60mm PIR insulation sheets are well-suited for use in floor, ceiling, and roof insulation. However, they are equally suitable for other general insulation applications, such as interior partitions, framing walls, and cavity walls.
Add them to any type of floor: solid wood, concrete, luxury vinyl tile, laminate, or suspended timber. You can layer 60mm boards of PIR insulation to meet thermal insulation standards for your type of building.
Likewise, they yield impressive results when used as a roofing insulation solution.
We source 60mm polyisocyanurate insulation from market leaders like:
All our 60mm PIR sheets have square edges for easy fitting. They come in a range of sizes:

60mm PIR insulation is light enough to slice through using a knife or any type of saw. You can use an insulation saw designed specifically for cutting insulation. To keep the cut straight, mark the entire length of the bit you intend to cut, and then proceed with your cutting tool.
Each PIR board comes with installation details. Insulation Wholesale recommends following the installation instructions included with the product. This will minimise errors and improve your chances of enjoying optimal thermal efficiency after the installation.
Calculate the coverage area in square metres and then divide the number by the coverage of one 60mm PIR board. This will give you an idea of the number of PIR sheets you need to purchase for your project.
