80mm PIR

80mm PIR insulation is a mid-thickness PIR board that falls between thinner PIR sizes and the thicker panels on the market. It’s useful for many room insulation requirements, both in commercial structures and homes.

What is 80mm PIR insulation?

The 80mm PIR board is made from polyisocyanurate. This compound is a foam-like plastic formed when isocyanates and polyols are mixed and subjected to a temperature- and pressure-controlled treatment process. It’s then laminated with foil, expanded to a thickness of 80mm, and after further processing, it’s cured and cut into various sizes.

What are 80mm PIR used for?

80mm PIR sheets are appropriate for use in smaller spaces where a 120mm or 100mm board would not fit.

They are ideal for both internal and external wall insulation, and can be applied to masonry walls, framed walls, and internal wall linings.

You may also use them to insulate pitched roofs, flat roofs and ceilings.
