Highly durable with exceptional thermal qualities, the 90mm PIR insulation board is suitable for general insulation.
What is 90mm PIR insulation?
90mm PIR insulation is a plastic compound made from polyisocyanurate. During production, the foam is pressed between layers of foil, where a blowing agent stretches it to a uniform thickness of 90mm.
What are 90mm PIR used for?
90mm PIR insulation is perfect for room insulation, including on:
- Walls — Use in solid masonry walls, timber-framed walls, steel-framed walls, and for wall sheathing.
- Floors — Boosts thermal performance when used as a base for different types of floors.
- Roofs — Place under, above, and between rafters in pitched roofs. For flat roofs, place between or below joists. Also great for the ceiling.

FAQ
How to cut 90mm PIR insulation?
PIR is an easy-to-cut material. You can resize your 90mm PIR boards using an insulation knife or saw. If you do not have either of these, any saw or utility knife will suffice. Begin by marking where you’ll cut. Add markings along the entire length or width of the board to get a straight cut. Then go in with your cutting tool.
How to install 90mm PIR insulation?
Installing 90mm PIR insulation sheets is simple: measure and cut the board as needed. Fit the board tightly into the area to be insulated, and secure it in place using adhesive or fixings such as screws or nails. If layering your insulation boards, ensure that you add a vapour control layer to protect your insulation against water damage.
How much 90mm PIR insulation do I need?
Start by measuring the size of your work area in square metres. Divide this by the total coverage of one PIR board to find out how many boards you’ll need. Add 10-15% PIR insulation material to account for any bits you may need to cut.
