Superglass Superwall 32
Superglass Superwall 32 is a glass mineral wool cavity-wall insulation batt made for buildings where wall insulation must be precise and long-lasting. The batt is fitted inside cavity walls, providing long-term thermal performance.
Installing Superglass 32 insulation helps homes meet current Part L energy-efficiency requirements while also supporting fire safety and resisting moisture ingress.
What is Superwall 32?
Superwall 32 is a type of thermal insulation used in the cavities of external walls. It is flexible, so it can be fitted between the wall leaves and held in place by friction.
It has a declared thermal conductivity (λ) of 0.032 W/m.K, providing excellent resistance to heat flow for mineral wool cavity insulation.
What is Superglass 32 cavity insulation used for?
Superwall 32 insulation goes in the gap (cavity) between the two skins of a masonry wall to:
- Reduce heat transmission through walls.
- Keep interiors warm or cool depending on the weather.
- Make buildings more energy-efficient.
It can be used for both full-fill (fill the whole cavity) or partial-fill (only part of it) cavity-wall applications in new builds. Full-fill applications are subject to height and exposure limits under UK regulations, while partial-fill systems are generally permitted at greater heights when correctly detailed.
Benefits of Superglass cavity 32 insulation
Here’s why builders use Superglass 32 insulation:
- Reliable thermal insulation prevents heat from escaping through the wall.
- Rated Euroclass A1 (non-combustible) and will not contribute to fire spread.
- Water-repellent fibres resist moisture penetration while remaining vapour-permeable, allowing the wall to dry naturally.
- Fits standard wall ties, supplied this way, so that less cutting is needed.
- Does not rot or harbour mould.
- Made using up to 84% recycled glass material. It is rated A+ under recognised environmental assessment schemes.

How to fix Superglass 32 Insulation?
- Ensure the cavity width matches the product width. Superwall 32 is manufactured to suit standard wall-tie spacings and supplied slightly oversize for a friction fit.
- Insert the batt gently into the cavity so it fits snugly against the inner and outer masonry leaves.
- Hold it in place by friction; the fibres push outward slightly and stay in place.
- Do this across the entire wall height, ensuring tight joints and complete continuity with no gaps.
How to cut Superglass Cavity 32 Insulation?
Cutting Superglass insulation must be done carefully:
- Mark your cut line on the insulation surface.
- Use a sharp insulation knife or fine saw.
- Cut along the line, and allow the fibres to separate cleanly.
Wear protective gloves, goggles, and a dust mask, as glass fibres can irritate the skin and lungs.
