Edge strip is used with solid (concrete screed) floors around the edge of a room to contribute an expansion gap for the floor as it heats up and cools down. The edging strip is most known as the perimeter strip which acts as a thermal bridge by preventing moisture crossing and reducing heat loss and noise once the screed has been set.
