Ecotherm Insulation Board

Eco-Versal is a polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam insulation board from the EcoTherm brand. It includes an aluminium foil composite coating on both fronts of its surface, which provides full building insulation solutions for a wide range of applications including walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings.

EcoTherm insulation boards are also noted for their excellent compressive strength, as well as their lightweight and ease of installation. They are ideal for household, ground-supported, or suspended concrete slab ground floors and have high dimensional stability.

EcoTherm Insulation board must be used above the DPM. Eco-Versal boards from EcoTherm are an excellent option for floor insulation. These insulation boards can have a long life depending on the background and supporting structure. EcoTherm’s rigid insulation boards are made of polyisocyanurate (PIR), a substance that was invented in the 1930s and has been used as an insulation material ever since. EcoTherm Insulation is made up of a rigid PIR insulation core sandwiched between two high-performance facings, resulting in a robust, durable, and light-weight insulation board that performs well while lowering overall construction costs.

Features

  • Thermal Performance – Eco-Versal has a thermal conductivity (-value) of 0.022W/mK. The reflective foil facing’s low emissivity surface can reduce radiant heat transfer across an adjoining air space.Ā
  • Durability – Eco-Versal has an endless life span when installed correctly, and its longevity is dependent on the background or supporting structure as well as the conditions of use.Ā
  • Compression Strength – When tested at 10% compression to BS EN 826: 1996
  • Thermal Insulating Products for Building Applications ā€“ Determination of Compression Behaviour, Eco-Versal has a compressive strength of 140 kPa.
  • Ā Fire performance – EcoTherm Eco-Versal achieves BS476-7: 1997 Class 1 rating. The system’s specific fire resistance will be determined by the conditions of operation.Ā

Benefits

  • Aluminum foil facings
  • Excellent thermal insulation – To achieve the same level of thermal performance, PIR users require approximately half the thickness of traditional forms of insulation.
  • Lightweight but strong – PIR boards are more easier to handle and transport than standard insulants, making installation considerably easier and faster.
  • Used for walls, floors, roofs and ceilings
  • CFC/HCFC free (Doesnā€™t contain chlorine, fluorine, carbon or hydrogen atoms)
