Moisture-resistant / Foil backed plasterboard

Moisture-resistant 12.5mm boards (sometimes called “moisture panel”) have treated cores and paper to resist brief exposure to humidity.

Foil-backed options add a metallised foil layer that acts as a vapour control layer and can help limit interstitial condensation in cold/warm junctions.

They are useful in garages, utility rooms, and areas where extra vapour control is desired, but not suitable for continuously wet areas like showers without a suitable tanking system.
